England will start without Owen Farrell and Maro itoje this weekend as they kick off their Autumn campaign with against Argentina.
Replacing Owen Farrell at 12 will be Henry Slade, the Exeter star has worked well over the summer and has started the season well. While he plays across 10, 12 and 13 positions regularly it remains to be seen where he will settle for England. One things for sure, fighting the 10 and 12 shirt from Farrell or George Ford is one hell of a task.
Dylan Hartley has kept his place in the 2 shirt despite many considering Jamie George to be the form hooker for England.
Sam Underhill has played his way into the 7 shirt and eyes will be on him as he links up with Nathan Hughes and Chris Robshaw in a new look back row.
Eddie Jones had this to say about the first game.
“As a squad we have been preparing for this game since our first camp in August and are excited about playing in front of 82,000 fans at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday,” Jones added.
“We know that Argentina is a strong team – Rugby World Cup semi-finalists in 2015 – and we will have to be smart and play well to beat them.”
