4 Gauge is a premium pre-workout powder designed to get you firing on all cylinders at workout time. Pre-Workouts are huge now and the reasons are simple. People are busier now than ever, just finding time for the gym can be tricky and we need to maximise those workouts to reap the benefits of the time we have. In terms of rugby, we aim to reach our potential in a sport that relies on instant power and acceleration and that means working out with the same intensity.
The problem that you can find with some pre-workouts is that you can get massive crashes afterwards. Falling asleep when the other half is telling you about their day doesn’t generally end with you getting more time at the gym.
Ingredients – 4 Gauge Pre-Workout
Creatine Monohydrate – Creatine helps the ATP energy process by fueling your muscles during a workout to boost strength and endurance during even the most testing workouts. Supplementing your body whilst under pressure with creatine means that you will be able to push harder than normal and make more progress.
Acetyl L-Carnitine – A nutrient that helps in a number of ways. Acetyl L-Carnitine helps to reduce fatigue, muscle damage, fat mass while improving cognitive function.
Caffeine – Not something that we really need to explain, consumed worldwide all day every day. Caffeine is a stimulant capable of improving focus, memory and reaction times during your workout and with that helps you to increase strength and endurance during a tough session.
L-Theanine – Believed to work in tandem with caffeine to form a ‘smart-caffeine’. This is where the 4 Gauge system differs from other pre-workouts. By combining with caffeine you get the benefits of a huge dose of caffeine without the energy crashes and jitters that come with a bigger dose.
Rhodiola Rosea – A herb said to reduce fatigue, it is also noted to reduce muscle damage which comes with workouts, meaning you can stay fresh and hopefully have reduced aches from muscle tearing, which should mean improved recovery times.
Coconut Water Powder – Nutrient which contains electrolytes, this should mean you stay more hydrated during the workout.
4 Gauge Review Conclusion
If you’re looking for a pre-workout that gives you that kick before a workout then this is it. This combination of ingredients that you have here is capable of bringing up your energy levels after the toughest day to make the most of your gym time.
In most pre-workouts that can come at the cost of being wired for the rest of the night. But the ingredients work alongside what is essentially a lower dose of caffeine to give you that high energy without the ongoing buzz when you’re done. We didn’t experience any of that during our test, we got some great boosts for workouts but energy levels returned to normal afterwards.
Now we know we’ve put a negative as not being able to get this product in the shops, you do have to order from the manufacturer website. But the shipping is great, they have warehouses in the USA and in the UK.
Put simply this is a great pre-workout. The effectiveness is great, depending on your budget it’s a great buy with bulk offers always on. I’ve tried this at the gym, playing rugby and as a pickup after the long day when you’ve still got shit that needs to be done.
As an amateur rugby player, I’ll be honest in saying that some weeks rugby isn’t that easy to get motivated for when you’ve got a million and one other things to do. But getting focused on a game with 4 gauge was easy, I took it just before setting off for training match and started to feel the effects as I arrived at the ground 20 minutes later. After getting ready and going out for warm-up things really started to kick in. Getting the body moving was easy as I was buzzing already, and getting into the game you can feel yourself come alive. Staying focused on the game and remembering the game plan is often easy to lose but with 4 gauge I felt I was able to commit to the game physically but also was able to keep my concentration levels. This was my first game back for a couple of months and I thought I would be building back slowly, but getting comfortable with the physicality of the game came easily with 4 gauge. In terms of fitness I am normally starting to fell it going into the last 20 but I felt able to carry on pushing hard and chasing the lost causes, dragging the defensive line with me. This was my first game back for a couple of weeks and with injury, I had not had a chance to work on much cardio and certainly not a full-body, it was safe to say I certainly didn’t feel that way after this match.
FAQ – 4 Gauge Pre-Workout
Where can I get 4 Gauge Pre-Workout?
You can source this pre-workout from the manufacturer website. Whilst it might seem like a backwards thing they control delivery and as already mentioned with warehouses in the US and the UK the delivery times are great and they ship worldwide.
Does 4 Gauge really work?
Based on my experience with the product I have to say yes. I felt the benefits of it not only in the gym but also whilst training and playing rugby. It’s a clean pre-workout and I really enjoyed being able to use this without the side effects of crashing after workouts that other’s pre-workouts can sometimes produce.
With all-natural ingredients and effective ones at that it’s hard to see why this isn’t an appealing product to try, whilst you have to put in the dedication I challenge anyone to mix things up and try this pre-workout and see if it doesn’t help you push on with your goals at the gym even or rugby.
How do I use 4 Gauge?
4 gauge is a powder that you mix into water usually. It’s suggested to take this about 30 minutes before you are going to be exercising to allow it time to kick in. Two scoops of pre-workout are the standard, you can take a double dosage of that but more than that would be pushing it.
It is recommended that you cycle 4 gauge, having a week off every 6 to 8 weeks to maintain a good performance from using it.
The flavour of 4 gauge is at present only 1 and that is “Fruit Explosion”, you might be thinking this will be some artificial flavourings but it’s all-natural.
